1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the services provided by 818 Shutters & Shades ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Description

818 Shutters & Shades provides premium window treatment products and installation services, including but not limited to:

• Plantation shutters
• Roller shades and blinds
• Motorized window treatments
• Custom drapery
• In-home consultations
• Professional measurement and installation

3. Appointments and Consultations

When scheduling an in-home consultation, you agree to provide accurate contact information and address details. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments with reasonable notice. Customers must be present at the scheduled appointment time or provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling.

4. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes provided are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified. Pricing is based on measurements taken during your consultation and product selections made. Final pricing may vary if specifications change from the original quote. A deposit is required to begin production of custom window treatments.

5. Payment Terms

We accept major payment methods as listed on your proposal and invoice. A deposit is required at the time of order, with the remaining balance due upon installation. All sales are final once production has begun on custom products. A 3-day cancellation window applies to all orders as required by California law.

6. Installation

Professional installation is included with all window treatment purchases unless otherwise noted. Customer is responsible for ensuring clear access to windows on the day of installation. Any necessary repairs or modifications to window frames or surrounding areas are the responsibility of the customer unless previously agreed upon in writing.

7. Warranty

Products are covered by manufacturer warranties as specified at the time of purchase. Installation workmanship is warranted for a period of one year from the date of installation. Warranty claims must be submitted in writing and are subject to inspection.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 818 Shutters & Shades shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific product or service in question.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of818 Shutters & Shades and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
